Touring Caravan and Motorhome Campsite

The touring pitches are set within a private paddock surrounded by tall hedgerows and adjacent farmland. From time to time sheep will be grazing in the lower paddock, and the non camping areas are set out as wild flower meadows.

The facilities include:

  • Mains hookup to latest standards – electricity usage is metered which we think is fair to both you and us.
  • Nearby service area with fresh water, waste water disposal, recycling point and fire point. Motorhomes catered for with a hose available and a drive over drain.
  • Private washroom with washbasin, toilet and shower. Hot water is included.
  • High Speed fibre based WiFi in the pitching area included in the pitch fee (new for 2025)
  • a number of picnic benches dotted around the site
  • Good TV reception
  • 4G cellular reception on all 3 networks on the main pitching area
  • Adjacent nature reserve accessed via our back gate and a footpath – perfect for campers with dogs
  • 7kW EV charger on site – fast charge available at the Electric Forecourt which is less than a mile away

During your stay you will experience the full soundtrack of nature. The site is surrounded by farm animals, and is visited by all sorts of wildlife. At night there is little light pollution and star gazing can be enjoyed. We were able to see the Northern Lights on several occasions during 2024 (see the photo gallery).

Arrival times

Please arrange to arrive between midday and 8pm. Checkout is midday. If we are not fully booked we are happy to accommodate later departures.

We ask that you contact us 48 hours before arrival to provide an ETA. The site is not always attended and we need to make arrangements to greet you.

THINGS TO NOTE

We cannot accommodate twin axle caravans or motorhomes in excess of 8m long.

This is due to the nature of the access to the site. We do not permit any form of tradesman’s van or commercial vehicles.

Our water byelaws require the use of GREEN TOILET FLUID ONLY. If you need some we keep a stock on site at sensible prices.

Access to the site is via controlled locked gates. We will require a £20 cash (returnable) deposit for use of the access token.

There is an unfenced pond on the site, but some distance from the camping area – parents please note.

Unfortunately the gravel pathways, farm gates and the lack of appropriate modifications in the washroom make Longlands unsuitable for those with mobility issues, and users of mobility scooters.
